Thomas Ross Bond, affectionately known as the bully with the protruding lip who tormented beloved Alfalfa in the "Our Gang" serial shorts, was a gentle and benign soul off the set. Born on September 16, 1926, in Dallas, Texas, Tommy was discovered by a Hal Roach talent scout at the age of five, strolling hand-in-hand down a Dallas street with his mother.
