Tomasz is a Polish screenwriter and director who has gained significant recognition for his work. With a career spanning multiple years, he has accumulated an impressive 24 individual awards as a director and screenwriter, as well as 23 awards won by his films worldwide.
Tomasz was named by Variety Magazine as one of the "Top Ten Europeans to Watch", a testament to his rising talent in the film industry. He is a member of the prestigious European Film Academy and holds a degree from the renowned Academy of Film and Television and The National Film School in Lodz.
Tomasz's full-length feature debut, "In a Bedroom", had its world premiere at the 2012 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, where it received several prizes, including the Ecumenical Jury Award at the 2012 Mannheim-Heildelberg International Film Festival.
His second feature film, "Floating Skyscrapers", premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, where it was chosen by American film critics as the best movie presented at the festival. The film went on to win several awards, including the East of the West Competition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2013, the Best Directing Award at the Transilvania International Film Festival 2014, the Audience Award at the International Competition New Horizons in Wroclaw, the Best New Directing Talent and the Grand Prix of Youth Jury at the Gdynia Film Festival in Poland.
Tomasz's third movie, "United States of Love", premiered worldwide at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival 2016 in competition, where it won the prestigious Silver Bear for Best Script. He was also nominated for Best European Scriptwriter at the 29th European Film Awards and received awards for Best Director at the Valleta Film Festival and Gdynia Film Festival.
Tomasz's fourth feature film, "Fools", premiered in competition for the Proxima Award at the 2022 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
Tomasz's films have premiered and been distributed in cinemas worldwide, and have screened at over 300 film festivals. His fifth feature film is currently in development for production, marking his English-language debut and first American production.
