Tom Reeve, a renowned filmmaker from Aylesbury, England, was born to director and producer Geoffrey Reeve and Gina Gurney, and was immersed in the world of filmmaking from a young age.
Growing up, Tom honed his skills by managing his father's productions, and later moved to Luxembourg to establish the country's largest film studios.
As one of Europe's most esteemed filmmakers, Tom brought the new Hollywood era to central Europe and combined his financial and production expertise to create European cult classics such as 'Dog Soldiers' in 2002.
Throughout his illustrious career spanning over 35 years, Tom has worked on an impressive number of commercially successful and critically acclaimed credits, either as a director, producer, or writer, and has received numerous accolades including multiple Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Awards.
As a director, Tom has been recognized for his outstanding work, including receiving the Best Film award at the Friars Club New York Comedy Awards and the Audience Award from the Lighthouse International Film Festival for his Irish comedy 'Hard Times' in 2009.
He has also broken box office records for his medieval action feature 'George and the Dragon' in 2004 and received critical acclaim for his heart-warming family feature 'Diggity's Treasure' in 2001.
Tom has had the pleasure of directing talented actors such as the late Michael Clarke Duncan and Patrick Swayze, as well as Val Kilmer, Andrew McCarthy, Linda Hamilton, James Purefoy, Piper Perabo, Joan Plowright, Paul Freeman, Simon Callow, and Louise Lombard.
Additionally, as a second unit director, Tom has worked with notable talents including Gerard Butler, Rutger Hauer, Jack Davenport, Christopher Lee, Christopher Lambert, and Emilie de Ravin.
Tom has also specialized in action and stunt directing, most notably on the WWI drama 'The Lost Battalion' in 2001, where he won a Christopher Award for his stunt/aerial unit work with bi-planes and helicopters, as well as three Emmy nominations while producing the film.
As a producer, Tom has received numerous awards, including Golden Globes and Emmy awards for his WWII drama 'One Against the Wind' in 1991, starring Kate Beckinsale, Sam Neill, and Judy Davis.
Tom founded the production company, Centurion, in 1987, which continues to produce both film and television productions, having produced nearly 50 films to date, including features such as 'Wing Commander' in 1999, 'The Musketeer' in 2001, and 'Tale of the Mummy' in 1998. Centurion now operates from Luxembourg, Los Angeles, and London.
