Tom Malloy has been actively involved in the film industry for over two decades, pioneering the role of a multi-hyphenate by taking on projects as an actor, writer, producer, and director.
Throughout his career, Malloy has successfully raised millions of dollars for independent films, produced a total of 20 films, written and sold over 25 screenplays, and has also starred in numerous films.
Some of the notable films produced by Malloy include Rear View Mirrors, Ask Me to Dance, Lansky, Love N' Dancing, The Alphabet Killer, and The Attic. Many of these projects were developed through his production company, Trick Candle Productions, which he founded in 2005.
In addition to his work as a filmmaker, Tom Malloy is also an accomplished author. His book, Bankroll: A New Approach to Financing Feature Films, is widely regarded as the "gold standard" of indie film financing instruction. He currently co-owns the filmmaking instructional site FilmMakingStuff.
