Thomas Matthew Delonge, the accomplished musician, was born on December 13, 1975, in Poway, California, to parents Connie and Thomas Delonge. He has an older brother, Shon, and a younger sister, Kari. Delonge's high school days were marked by his attendance at Poway High School, where he even held the esteemed title of Homecoming King.
As a teenager, he received a guitar as a 15th birthday gift from a friend, which sparked his passion for music. His interest in Punk rock was first piqued by a camp counselor during his childhood summers. The year 1992 marked the formation of the iconic band Blink-182, in which Delonge serves as both the guitarist and vocalist.
In 2002, he embarked on a side project, Box Car Racer, releasing a single album. Following the disbandment of Blink-182, Delonge went on to form Angels & Airwaves, which has been working on its third album, set to be released in 2009.
Delonge met his wife, Jen Jenkins, at a party around five or six years before their marriage on May 26, 2001. The couple welcomed their first child, Ava Elizabeth, on July 15, 2002, at California Scripps Hospital in Los Angeles. Ava was born at 5:30 A.M. and weighed 7 pounds. Two years later, on August 16, 2006, they had their second child, Jonas Rocket.
