Tom's journey in the world of art and filmmaking began with a fine art training at the Sir John Cass, East London, where he honed his skills in painting, drawing, photography, and writing. It was during this time that he acquired a super 8 camera and started capturing his capoeira classes and other martial arts on film, realizing the significance of dynamic movement in his pursuit of happiness.
As his passion for storytelling and narrative evolved, it became clear that filmmaking would become the central focus of his adult life. He attended a summer course in film directing at the Brighton Film School, where he was introduced to the art of filmmaking and had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow students.
Tom's early film endeavors were marked by his role as "Boz," one of the bumbling robbers in a short heist film directed and shot by his classmate, Laz Warwick, with whom he still collaborates today. This experience sparked a desire to further develop his skills in stunts, acting, and filmmaking, leading him to train extensively in these disciplines.
Throughout his career, Tom's background in action has greatly influenced his acting style, which is deeply rooted in physicality. He has a pure desire to creatively tell the story with every frame of film, often performing his own stunts, precision driving, and engaging in other physically demanding activities. Despite his focus on filmmaking, Tom still finds time to express his creativity through painting.
