Tobe Sexton, a multifaceted American artist, was born on September 6, 1968, in Fort Worth, Texas. With a passion for the performing arts, Sexton pursued his dreams by studying acting and directing for theatre and film at The California Institute of the Arts, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree.
As a talented individual, Sexton began his career in the entertainment industry by appearing in various television movies, national commercials, and feature films, including the notable role of Teen Freddy in Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. Throughout his illustrious career, he has had the opportunity to perform in over 100 plays, musicals, and experimental dance pieces nationwide, with a remarkable 17 directing credits to his name.
Beyond his work as a performer, Sexton also ventured into producing, co-founding the Bauhaus Film Group with Aladdin Pojhan in 1995. During this time, he collaborated extensively with renowned filmmaker Zalman King. As the new millennium approached, Sexton shifted his focus to the "Indie film" world, establishing The TCS or The Technological City State Productions. This innovative company aimed to explore and develop emerging cinematic technologies from their inception to widespread acceptance.
