Timeca Marie Seretti, a multifaceted American artist, was born in Gary, Indiana, to Cheryl Scott and Lucas Harris. From a tender age, she was drawn to the world of entertainment, captivating her family with mesmerizing Michael Jackson and Diana Ross performances.
As she entered the sixth grade, her mother's captivating portrayal of Beneatha in Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun" sparked an unwavering passion for the stage within her. Despite being nurtured in a household where singing, dancing, and pageantry were an integral part of her upbringing, Timeca's trajectory took an unexpected turn after graduation.
She enlisted in the US Navy, serving as a Seaman apprentice and embarking on a global journey aboard the USS Samuel Gompers in the Western Pacific fleet. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, she pursued higher education at Indiana University, initially enrolling as a computer science major.
However, her affinity for the theater was rekindled when she stumbled upon rehearsals for "Spoon River Anthology" during her university days. This serendipitous encounter led her to switch majors and focus on theater. Timeca's determination was further fueled when she participated in the Miss Cotton Club pageant in Chicago, securing her first theatrical agent and launching her professional acting career.
Throughout her journey, Timeca has successfully appeared in various independent films and has recently been featured on NBC shows "Friday Night Lights," "Revolution," "NCIS: New Orleans," "Swampthing," and "Claws." In addition, she has written and produced several of her own projects and directed her award-winning short film, "The Closet."
