Biography

Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie, a talented actress, was born in the picturesque city of Wellington, New Zealand, to a family with a rich cultural heritage. Her mother, Miranda Harcourt, is a renowned actress, while her father, Stuart McKenzie, is a respected director. This creative lineage is not surprising, given that Thomasin's grandmother, Dame Kate Harcourt, is a celebrated actress in her own right, and her grandfather, Peter Harcourt, comes from a family that founded the prominent real estate company Harcourts International in Wellington.

Thomasin has a younger sister, Davida McKenzie, who is also an actress, and an elder brother. She completed her secondary education at the esteemed Samuel Marsden Collegiate School in 2018. Her early start in the entertainment industry was marked by a notable role in The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. However, it was her lead role in Debra Granik's 2018 drama film Leave No Trace that catapulted her to critical acclaim.

Since then, Thomasin has appeared in a range of films, including The King, Jojo Rabbit, True History of the Kelly Gang, and Old. Her latest endeavour was the lead role as Eloise in Edgar Wright's psychological horror film Last Night in Soho, where she played a wide-eyed woman from Cornwall, showcasing her impressive range as an actress.
