Thijs Meuwese, a creative force to be reckoned with, entered this world in the late eighties, amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Netherlands.
As a young individual with a passion for filmmaking, Meuwese's aspirations didn't take long to manifest, as he went on to win the prestigious best short film award at a renowned Belgian film festival in 2007.
This remarkable achievement was merely the beginning of his illustrious journey, as he further solidified his skills by graduating from film school in 2011.
Meuwese's student film, a feature-length fantasy thriller, made a significant impact on the local festival circuit, paving the way for his future endeavors.
Post-graduation, he delved into the world of commercials, short films, and web-series, honing his craft as a writer, director, and production designer.
His impressive portfolio led him to co-direct and write his English language debut feature film, "Molly", in 2016.
"Molly" received widespread critical acclaim, earning a nomination for Best Film at the Imagine film festival and garnering positive reviews upon its release on DVD & Blu-ray in the US.
Meuwese's subsequent feature, "Kill Mode", written and directed by him, won the coveted best pitch award at the Imagine pitching contest and was released in 2020.
He then joined forces with The Dutch Angle Project, a production collective dedicated to creating indie genre films, where he directed his fourth film, "Psychonaut", which was completed in 2024.
