Theodore Barnes is a rising star in the entertainment industry, with a string of impressive credits to his name. Currently, he can be seen starring in the BET+ comedy series "The Ms. Pat Show", which premiered to widespread acclaim in the summer of 2021 and boasts a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
Based on the stand-up comedy and memoir of Patricia "Ms. Pat" Williams, the show follows Williams as a fictionalized version of herself, a former convicted felon turned suburban mom whose hustle and resilient spirit was forged on the streets of Atlanta. Theodore shines as Junebug, Williams' youngest son, bringing a wealth of real and relatable teenage comedy to the role.
The show's success has led to a second season, which is slated to premiere on August 11, 2022 on BET+. In addition to his work on "The Ms. Pat Show", Theodore has also appeared in a range of other projects, including Brian Walls on ABC's hit series "The Goldbergs", series regular lead on Netflix's "Prince of Peoria", a recurring role on Nickelodeon's "Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn", and guest-starring roles on "Goliath" on Amazon and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" on FOX.
Born and raised in San Pedro, California, Theodore began his career at a young age, landing his first big break at just 11 years old as a series regular on "Back in the Game" for ABC opposite James Caan, Maggie Lawson, and Josie Totah. He has been working steadily ever since.
When he's not on set, Theodore can be found playing basketball at the local YMCA, surfing, roller skating, collecting sneakers, and indulging in his love of In-N-Out Burger. He is also passionate about giving back to his community, having participated in California's Heal the Bay 2013 Coastal Cleanup Day and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity over the years to help families across southern California build and improve their homes.
Theodore currently resides in the Los Angeles area with his family.
