Thadd is a multi-talented individual, having won numerous awards for his work in the film and literary industries. As a producer, director, and screenwriter, he has garnered recognition for his contributions to the History Channel's series "Cowboys and Outlaws", winning the 2010 Western Heritage Wrangler Award for his efforts. Additionally, he received the 2007 Western Heritage Wrangler Award for his work on "Truce" and the 2006 Spur Award from the Western Writers of America for his original screenplay "Miracle at Sage Creek".
Thadd's extensive filmography includes directing feature films such as "East of Yuma", "2 Years of Love", "Rodeo & Juliet", "Kids in The Yard", and Clay Walker's Top Ten music video "Jesse James". His upcoming thriller feature "Wiggle Room" is slated for release in the summer of 2025.
Beyond his work in film, Thadd has also ventured into the world of non-fiction writing. His book "Wild Bill Hickok: Deadwood City - End of Trail" was released in June 2001, offering readers a glimpse into the life of the legendary figure. His children's illustrated book "Wild Bill and The Pirates!" released in 2023 has won two prestigious awards, including the Western Writers of America Spur Finalist Award and the Will Rogers Medallion Finalist Award. His subsequent children's book "Wild Bill meets The Presidents!" was released in 2024, and his fictional Western novel "The Hard Ride" inspired by his screenplay of the same name will be released in May 2025.
In his personal life, Thadd is married to producer Cynthia L. Turner and is the father of writer-producer Wyatt Turner and actress Tanya Turner.
