Tessa Auberjonois, a talented and versatile stage actress, was born in Dublin, Ireland, but spent most of her childhood in Hollywood, California. Growing up, she would often attend the taping of the popular TV show "Benson", where her father, Rene Auberjonois, played the character Clayton. However, most days and nights were dedicated to her own ballet training from a young age.
As a critically acclaimed actress, Tessa has won numerous awards, including the 2020 Ovation Award for Best Lead Actress in a play. Her extensive range of work includes developing new plays with renowned playwrights such as Neil LaBute and Annie Weisman, as well as classical roles like Lady M and Lydia Languish. She has also portrayed many comedic characters throughout her career.
Tessa has had the opportunity to perform on various Off-Broadway stages, including the Lucille Lortel, the Acorn, the Player's Theatre, and the Rattlestick, among others. She has also appeared in premier productions at some of the nation's leading regional theaters, such as the South Coast Repertory Theatre, the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C., the Yale Repertory Theatre, the Westport Playhouse, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, and others.
In addition to her stage work, Tessa has received formal training as a dancer at the School of American Ballet and later at Yale Drama and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). As a voice-over performer, she has been heard regularly on television, radio, video games, animated series, and audiobooks, and has re-voiced several feature film performances.
Tessa is a grateful recipient of the Sermoonjoy Fund's Fellowship for mid-career actors and continues to be a respected and sought-after talent in the entertainment industry.
