Tereza Hirsch is a Czech-German award-winning director, screenwriter, and producer, known for her films The Guilt List, Beyond Her Lens, and Your Move, My Lady, as well as various music videos and the reality show Survivor Czech and Slovak.
Born in Germany to a German mother and a Czech father, Tereza grew up mainly in the Czech Republic and spent part of her childhood in Paris. She studied Anglophone Studies at the Metropolitan University in Prague, graduating with a Bachelor's degree, and later received a Master's degree in Film and Media Production from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.
Tereza is fluent in several languages, including Czech, German, English, French, and Spanish. She has worked as a journalist, publishing a book of short stories and contributing to various magazines. She also created a website for an online music magazine and wrote articles about her volunteer work in India.
In her filmmaking beginnings, Tereza worked on scenography for Cyril Zima's film "Hot Set" and the music video "Feel Nothing" by The Plot In You. Her directorial debut, "The Guilt List," won 16 awards, including Best Short Film and Best Cinematography in Brazil International Film Festival.
Tereza founded her production company, Hirsch Pictures, after the success of "The Guilt List" and went on to direct the short film "Beyond Her Lens," which won over 25 awards. She has also made music videos for various artists, including Sani "2 Glasses," Lucie Vondrácková, and Patrik Malý.
Currently, Tereza is producing and directing her feature film "Devil's Game" in Los Angeles, set for theatrical release in 2025.
