Biography

Teresa Graves embarked on a multifaceted career, initially showcasing her vocal talents as a member of the ensemble group The Doodletown Pipers.

Subsequently, she transitioned to acting, securing a recurring role on the popular television program Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, specifically portraying the iconic character of the "Mod, Mod World" bikini girl during the 1969 and 1970 seasons.

Throughout the 1970s, Graves appeared in a variety of film roles, including supporting parts in Black Eye (1974),That Man Bolt (1973),and Old Dracula (1974),where she shared the screen with esteemed actor David Niven.

Notably, Graves played the groundbreaking role of the first black woman hired by a major city's police department on the television series Get Christie Love! (1974),which aired during the 1974-1975 season.

After her time on Get Christie Love!, Graves surprisingly stepped away from acting, leaving behind a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.

Tragically, Teresa Graves' life was cut short in a house fire at the age of 54 in 2002, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire and influence to this day.
