Tasha Tacosa embarked on her professional journey at a remarkably young age, becoming the youngest member ever cast in the esteemed Equity theater company "The Virginia Shakespeare Festival Guild". With a background in classical, modern, and experimental theater, she has impressively appeared in over 80 stage plays and musicals, including the main stage launch of American Girl's toy line, Felicity: An American Girl.
Growing up, Tasha divided her time between sports and acting, showcasing her talents as a competitive gymnast, swimmer, and soccer player. She also landed a series regular role as PJ on PBS' Minds on Science, a sitcom that educated and entertained kids through science experiments. This experience led to numerous award-winning public speaking engagements on "Positive Living", where she shared her inspiring message that "You have a chance if you are willing to try". Notably, this was accomplished while still a minor.
Despite being diagnosed with dyslexia, Tasha did not let it hold her back from pursuing her creative passions. She wrote, produced, and starred in two TV series on Showtime, and won the LA Comedy Fest's Best Webseries award for TRENT AND TILLY. Her first film, which she wrote and starred in, was hand-picked by Elevate Films to be produced and screened at their festival.
Tasha's comedic background was nurtured through her involvement with Second City Improv, as well as her role as the female lead in the Latin Sketch Comedy pilot with the Latin Kings of Comedy, where she created and wrote ten characters, each with separate accents.
Her notable commercial campaigns include Boys Town USA, Coca Cola, Honda, Starbucks, Vita Water, and Subway, earning her a Cleo nomination. She has also made a name for herself in the independent horror scene, hosting "The Indie Hour", a radio show focused on indie film making and supernatural horror-based scripts. The Buffalo Scream Festival awarded her BEST ACTRESS for her work in the indie film RAT SCRATCH FEVER.
As she continues to grow as a talented performer, Tasha is poised to captivate audiences across various platforms, from the stage to their living rooms, ears, and screens, given the opportunity.
