Taaha's early life was marked by a sense of disconnection from his educational journey, as he felt that traditional schooling did not provide him with the opportunities to explore his own identity. Born in Abu Dhabi to a doctor father and a mother, Shah Sikkander Badusha and Mahnaz Sikkander Badusha, Taaha has an elder brother, Abid, who is a Civil Engineer from the University of Toronto, Canada.
Taaha's educational path was a global one, with stints at the Sherwood academy in Abu Dhabi, the Kodaikanal International School in Tamil Nadu, India, and Choueifat International School and Sharjah American School in Sharjah, UAE. He even attended the American University of Sharjah for a semester before dropping out of his Bachelor of Business Administration course.
After taking a three-year break, Taaha enrolled in the New York Film Academy-School of Acting in Abu Dhabi, which marked the beginning of his journey in the world of acting. Prior to this, he worked with his mother in various businesses, including human resources, construction, real estate, and import/export, and even did some modeling assignments.
However, when the financial crisis hit, Taaha's family businesses suffered, and he was forced to venture into acting. After completing six months at NYFA in 2009, he was about to leave for Los Angeles to complete his course when he decided to visit Mumbai for two days to get a feel of the Bollywood industry. Little did he know that those two days would turn into a six-month stint, during which he would sign his debut film with Yash Raj's Y Films, Luv Ka The End, alongside Shraddha Kapoor.
Taaha was discovered by renowned casting director Shanoo Sharma while auditioning for the film, and went on to play an anti-hero in the youth genre. He then appeared in Karan Johar's Gippi and Barkhaa, before being chosen for Excel Entertainment, Dharma Production, and Eros International's Baar Baar Dekho alongside Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra.
His performance in the film earned him critical acclaim, particularly for his role as a 55-year-old character. Taaha is now set to appear in Anupam Kher's production, Gunday Aur Gudiya, where he will play a lead character set in rural India. The film's director was impressed by Taaha's ability to transform himself physically and character-wise to fit the role, and it is anticipated that he will deliver a never-before-seen performance in this film.
