Sydney Harris is a multifaceted individual with a sophisticated demeanor, unwavering tenacity, and an endearing propensity for "blonde moments". Her passion for performing began in her childhood, where she would create home movies with her family in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This early exposure to the world of entertainment sparked a deep appreciation for the arts, ultimately leading her to discover the world of classical ballet.
After years of intense training, Sydney received an invitation to join the esteemed Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, but instead, she chose to relocate to New York City to pursue her dreams. She began studying dance on a merit scholarship at NYU-Tisch, but ultimately left the program to focus on her professional ballet career. However, her journey was not without its challenges, as she later suffered a serious injury that forced her to take a break from dancing.
Sydney viewed this setback as an opportunity to refocus on her craft, and she enrolled in the renowned Stella Adler School of Acting. Following the tragic events of September 11th, Sydney made the difficult decision to return to her hometown of Louisiana. Now fully recovered, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from Tulane University.
Sydney's Southern roots ran deep, and she postponed her dance career to help with the rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Katrina. Afterward, she made the bold decision to move to Paris, France, with her affectionate Italian Greyhound, "Alfie", to pursue a career in international dance.
Two years later, Sydney's success in Paris and her personal achievements made it clear that the acting world was calling her back to New York. She quickly found numerous opportunities to work, emerging as a standout in the indie film scene both as an actress and producer.
Sydney's impressive range of skills, honed at prominent schools such as Upright Citizens Brigade and Groundlings, have enabled her to excel in various genres, including sketch, improv, and stand-up comedy. Her dramatic talent caught the attention of renowned acting coach Margie Haber, who offered her a full scholarship to study in Los Angeles. Sydney eventually made the decision to relocate to the West Coast, where she has continued to thrive in her career.
