Suzie's remarkable filmmaking career began with her debut screenplay, One More Kiss, which was produced by the renowned Paul Brooks, known for his work on My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and starred the talented Gerry Butler, known for his role in The 300. This feature film won the prestigious Audience Award at the Atlantic Film Festival.
Her subsequent feature was acquired by Andrew MacDonald, known for his work on Trainspotting and 28 Days Later, and her TV pilot, Just Desserts, was nominated for the best regional drama award at The Royal Television Society Awards.
In addition to her feature films, Suzie has also directed a range of short films, commercials, and promos. One of her most notable short films, Rocket Man, premiered at the prestigious Venice Biennale, while her short film, Two Minute Warning, was released in the UK, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, and won the Golden Boot at Portobello.
Suzie's debut feature film, Bigger Than Ben: A Russian's Guide to Ripping Off London, starring Ben Barnes and Hero Fiennes Tiffin, was a critical and commercial success, making The Times' Top 100 Films of 2008. The film won several awards, including Best Comedy Feature at the Los Angeles DIY Film Festival, Best of the Fest at Edinburgh, and was nominated for Best Feature at the Austin Film Festival. It also received a theatrical release and was showcased at several other prominent film festivals.
Suzie's second feature film, Division 19, was shot in Detroit and premiered at several film festivals, including Fantasporto and Boston. The film received its US theatrical release in April 2019. Her upcoming projects include a comedy set in Gaza, again in collaboration with Simon Beaufoy, as well as two other features, The Jacket and Asset. Suzie is also working on a novel, titled "Where We Are Now".
