Susan Johnston, known as a Media Futurist, is a renowned media personality, founder, and director of the New Media Film Festival. She is also a columnist for Rolling Stone and Authority Magazine. Susan has been Knighted by the Italian government for her work in Arts and Humanity.
As a performing artist, Susan has headlined numerous festivals and performed with notable artists such as Kansas, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. She has also sung the National Anthem at various events.
In addition to her performing career, Susan owns her own award-winning film studio, Select Services Films Inc., and a casting agency, Susan Johnston Casting. Her studio has won numerous awards, including the M&A Today Awards, Global Awards, and Los Angeles Awards.
Susan is also the creator of the New Media Film Festival, which celebrates media created with 21st-century technology. The festival has been running annually in Los Angeles since 2009 and has showcased over 600 titles in its library.
As a pioneer in new media production, Susan has produced the first series for mobile and the first Augmented Reality series. Her company was the first to distribute micro-content and produced the Stan Lee Comic Con panels and the Marvel Comic feature Prey: Origin of the Species.
