Susan Dalian was born in Baltimore, Maryland, USA as Susan Patterson Dalian. She gained recognition for her portrayal of the gun-wielding, jilted bride "Bebe" in the 2001 film The Brothers, starring alongside Shemar Moore, Morris Chestnut, and Gabrielle Union.
Susan's journey in the world of acting began at the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts, one of the top five performing arts high schools in the United States. She then went on to study at Boston University's College of Fine Arts program, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting.
Susan's early career took off in San Francisco, where she acted in various theater companies, including the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, CA Shakespeare Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theater, Marin Theater Company, and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. During her time in San Francisco, she also landed several national commercial and voice-over roles.
In 2001, Susan got her big break when she was cast as a series regular in the pilot produced by Stephen J. Cannell. She has since appeared in numerous television shows and feature films, as well as short films.
As a voice-over actor, Susan has lent her voice to several television and radio commercials, as well as anime and video games. Her notable voice-over roles include "Storm" in the 2009 Cartoon Network show Wolverine and the X-men and "Haku" in Naruto.
Susan has also had a successful career in theater, having acted at notable institutions such as the South Coast Repertory, The Actors' Gang, and Indiana Repertory Theater. She has worked with acclaimed playwrights like Lynn Nottage and Tracy Letts, and has been directed by renowned directors like William Friedkin.
In addition to her acting career, Susan has also ventured into stage directing, having directed several plays with various theater companies. She co-directed and wrote the short film Bite Me, which screened at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival and Festival Angaelica in 2019.
