Biography

Stone, a renowned musician, was born in the vibrant city of Seattle to a family of lawyers. He has two sisters, Shelly and Star, with whom he shares a strong bond. Growing up, Stone attended a prestigious artsy school, where he crossed paths with his future bandmate Steve Turner, who would later become a prominent figure in the band Mudhoney.

As one of the pioneers of the Seattle Music Scene, Stone began his musical journey with The Ducky Boys, before co-founding the influential band Green River with his longtime collaborator Jeff Ament, who would go on to become a member of the iconic band Pearl Jam.

Stone's musical career was also marked by his association with Mother Love Bone, a band that tragically lost its lead singer Andrew Wood to a heroin overdose. In tribute to Andrew's memory, Stone, along with Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, brought together members of their respective bands to form Temple of the Dog, a one-off project that would become a testament to the power of music.

Apart from his significant contributions to Pearl Jam, Stone has also been the driving force behind his side-project Brad, which records under his own independent record label, Loosegroove, founded by his sister Shelly.
