Steve Schlozman, a man of many talents and accomplishments, was born and raised in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. His early years were marked by a passion for extracurricular activities, as he played football, sang in the choir, and even took on small roles in school dramatic performances.
As he entered adulthood, Schlozman attended Stanford University, where he majored in both English and Biology, graduating in 1988. Following his time at Stanford, he moved to San Francisco and began his career as a high school English and science teacher in Marin County, California.
However, Schlozman's true calling lay in the field of medicine. He went on to attend the Dartmouth-Brown program in medicine, earning his M.D. from Brown University in 1994. He then completed his residency in psychiatry and child psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospitals.
Today, Schlozman is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Co-Director of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry for Harvard. In addition to his work in academia, Schlozman is also a published author. His first novel, "The Zombie Autopsies," was released in March 2011 by Grand Central Publishing.
Schlozman has used his expertise in neuroscience to teach functional neuroscience to medical students and other interested parties. He has also made appearances on the History Channel's "Zombies: A Living History" and will be featured in the upcoming documentary film "Dead Man Working," directed by L.E. Salas.
In addition to his work in film and television, Schlozman is also collaborating with renowned filmmaker George Romero on a planned film adaptation of "The Zombie Autopsies." With his unique blend of medical expertise and creative vision, Schlozman is sure to continue making a name for himself in the world of entertainment and beyond.
