In addition to his work as a director, Kung has helmed episodes for the sixth season of the popular television series FRESH OFF THE BOAT, and is an alumnus of the Paramount Directing Initiative.
As a writer, Kung has contributed to the critically acclaimed series DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, and has developed projects for various esteemed production companies, including Lionsgate, Starz, Warner Brothers Animation, and the Hallmark Channel.
Prior to his career in the entertainment industry, Kung worked in the public sector, serving at the Department of Justice and the prestigious Kennedy Center.
Kung is also a dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion in the industry, proudly co-founding the DGA LGBTQ+ Committee and serving as co-chair emeritus of the DGA Asian American Committee.
