Steven Chester Prince embarked on a journey in the world of acting, initially based in Austin, Texas. His impressive television credits include recurring roles on Prison Break and Friday Night Lights, as well as notable film appearances in The Alamo, The Ringer, A Scanner Darkly, and Boyhood.
Beyond his acting accomplishments, Steve is a highly acclaimed writer, producer, and director. He co-wrote and produced The Abduction of Jesse Bookman, which received the prestigious Best Picture award at The American Black Film Festival in 2009. Additionally, he produced Burning Palms in 2010, which garnered critical acclaim for its outstanding performances from the cast, featuring Zoe Saldana, Dylan McDermott, Nick Stahl, and Paz Vega.
Steve's career trajectory continued as he collaborated with Brian Oliver and the Thompson family to establish Cross Creek Pictures. During his tenure as Vice President of Development, the company financed and produced the critically acclaimed films Black Swan and The Woman in Black, while also initiating negotiations to finance and produce The Ides of March.
Following his successful tenure with Cross Creek Pictures, Steve joined The Traveling Picture Show Company as partner President of its independent film division, TPSC Films, in 2012. He has since produced a diverse range of films, including the horror movie The Quiet Ones, starring Sam Claflin and Jared Harris, the action-packed A Walk Among The Tombstones featuring Liam Neeson, and the Bryan Bertino-directed horror film The Dark and the Wicked. Furthermore, Steve co-wrote and directed the award-winning film Divine Access.
Throughout his career, Steve has continued to play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of TPSC Films, identifying and developing new projects, and actively producing all films under the TPSC Films banner.
