Steve Goltz, a native of the quaint town of Neenah, Wisconsin, has always been deeply passionate about the art of filmmaking. This affinity for cinema began at a young age and only intensified as he progressed through his academic journey.
Goltz initially pursued his interest in film at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he took a series of classes that further honed his skills. However, it was during his sophomore year that he made the decision to transfer to Arizona State University, a move that would ultimately prove to be a pivotal moment in his career.
While enrolled at ASU, Goltz had the opportunity to work on a multitude of student films, both behind and in front of the camera. His impressive body of work includes credits as both director and editor on projects such as "The Anniversary" and "Dog Days".
Goltz's entry into the world of horror filmmaking came in the form of the slasher short "Teddy: It's Gonna be a Bear", a production he shared with his producing partner, Kevin Sommerfield. This critically acclaimed film went on to win the Audience Favorite Award at the prestigious Chicago Fear Fest in 2012.
Undeterred by his initial success, Goltz continued to push the boundaries of his creativity with his next project, "Popularity Killer". His dedication to his craft has earned him recognition from industry insiders, with CinemaCrazed praising him as "a talent to watch out for".
