Biography

Steve Conte, a man of remarkable life experiences, was born on January 16, 1920, in the picturesque town of Gagliato, Italy. He embarked on a new journey with his family in 1926, setting sail for the United States, where they arrived in the bustling city of New York. Steve spent his formative teenage years in this iconic metropolis, surrounded by the sights and sounds of a rapidly changing world.

As the Second World War unfolded, Steve answered the call to duty, serving in the Army Air Corps in Europe. This period of his life had a profound impact on his character, shaping him into the man he would become.

Following the war, Steve settled down, marrying and starting a family with his wife, with whom he had two children, Shirley and Bruce. However, the marriage ultimately came to an end, and Steve refocused his attention on his career. His ex-wife and children later relocated to Las Vegas, while Steve remained in Los Angeles, where he continued to build his life.

One of Steve's favorite haunts was Schwab's on Sunset and La Cienega, a legendary gathering spot for the city's show business elite. It was here that he would often be found, surrounded by the glamour and excitement of the entertainment industry.

In 1960, Steve became a father once again, welcoming a son who would later be put up for adoption. This son, also named Steve, would go on to search for his biological father and finally find him in 1992, reuniting the two.

Among his closest friends and family, Steve was renowned for his quick wit and love of practical jokes, often using humor to bring people together and create lasting memories.
