Stephen Rong was born and raised in Midlothian, Virginia, where he developed a strong foundation in biology at Virginia Tech. However, the tragic shootings on Virginia Tech's campus in 2017 led him to re-evaluate his life's trajectory, and he made the bold decision to pivot towards a career in entertainment.
Seeking new challenges and opportunities, Stephen traveled to Hong Kong, where he underwent an intensive one-year training program in singing, dancing, songwriting, and acting. This transformative experience not only honed his artistic skills but also broadened his cultural horizons.
Following his time in Hong Kong, Stephen relocated to Taiwan, where he participated in various televised singing competitions, including the popular shows "Star Avenue" and "Super Idol." These competitions not only catapulted him to fame within Taiwan but also provided him with a platform to showcase his exceptional talents.
In addition to his music endeavors, Stephen has also ventured into television hosting, with his own radio show on Asia FM and various TV shows to his credit. He has also appeared in numerous commercials, TV series, movies, and productions across Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.
Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, as well as conversational Cantonese, Spanish, and Japanese, Stephen's linguistic abilities have enabled him to navigate diverse cultural contexts with ease. Furthermore, his extensive training in martial arts since his youth has equipped him with a unique set of skills, including expertise in American karate, Wushu, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Zhou Ga Kung fu, Xiao Ba Ji Quan, and Shaolin style.
