Stephen Niver is a multifaceted creative professional based in Los Angeles, California, with roots in Warren, Pennsylvania. His journey in the entertainment industry began in 2003 when he joined the Directors Guild of America, subsequently working as an Assistant Director and Unit Production Manager on various film and television projects. As a script doctor, Niver honed his skills, laying the groundwork for his future success.
Niver's writing credits include the hit Lifetime thrillers "While The Children Sleep" and "Personal Indiscretions". His foray into producing began with the cult hit miniseries "Shark Swarm", featuring Daryl Hannah and John Schneider, followed by several films for the Hallmark Channel, including the holiday hit "All I Want For Christmas" and the CAMIE Award-winning "Generation Gap", starring Ed Asner.
In addition to his producing credits, Niver has also worked on action films for Spike, including "Depth Charge" and "Sharpshooter". His recent producing endeavors include two installments in Fox's popular "Love Comes Softly" series, "Love Finds A Home", and the CAMIE Award-winning "Love Takes Wing".
Furthermore, Niver has penned the reboot of the classic "Porky's" franchise, "Porky's: Pimpin' Pee Wee", and co-produced SyFy's monster hit "Sharktopus", as well as the gory slasher sequel "Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2". Currently, Niver is collaborating with Lou Diamond Phillips to produce the adaptation of the Pulitzer-nominated "Tao of Surfing".
In addition to his current projects, Niver has recently completed the screenplay for "They Kill", a horror film directed by the legendary Armand Mastroianni, best known for his work on "He Knows You're Alone".
