Stelana Kliris is a multifaceted creative individual, hailing from a unique South African-Cypriot background, who has made a name for herself as a writer, director, and producer in the film industry.
Her most notable achievement to date is the upcoming feature film Find Me Falling, set to premiere in 2024, which holds the distinction of being the first ever Cypriot feature to be streamed globally on Netflix.
Kliris' professional journey began in 2014 when she wrote, directed, and produced the film Committed, and since then, she has been actively developing several new projects under her production company, Meraki Films.
Some of her current projects include the feature film Apart from Her and the television series Unexpected, which has participated in various prestigious programs, including the 2019 Midpoint TV Launch Programme, the 2022 Owl Screenwriting Workshop (where it received the Best Pilot Award),and the 2024 Netflix-backed EWA Series Accelerator Programme.
As a member of the European Women's Audiovisual Network (EWA) and the Directors Guild of Cyprus, Kliris is also a graduate of the 2018 EAVE Producers Workshop and an EFP Producers on the Move alumna.
Throughout her career, Kliris has been driven by her passion for storytelling with heart and humanity, drawing inspiration from her diverse cultural upbringing in countries with complex political situations, such as South Africa and Cyprus.
