Stefanie Butler is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of talents. As an actor, she has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including USS Christmas, The Legend of 5 Mile Cave, Guest of Honor, Stranger Things, Car Dogs, Zula the Infinite, Followed, I Remember You, Mob City, Rizzoli & Isles, and Billy the Early Years.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Stefanie was raised all over the country and graduated from Pepperdine University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, specializing in acting. Upon graduating, she began her career in film and television, making her debut in the Billy Graham biopic Billy: The Early Years, starring alongside Armie Hammer, Kristoffer Polaha, and Martin Landau.
In 2016, Stefanie joined the cast of the highly anticipated Netflix series Stranger Things, playing the role of Cynthia, the girlfriend of Lonnie, played by Ross Partridge. She has also made guest appearances on CSI:NY, Shark, Rizzoli & Isles, and Frank Darabont's Mob City. Stefanie's extensive commercial work includes over forty national campaigns.
Stefanie's recent film work includes the independent films Car Dogs, starring George Lopez and Octavia Spencer, Same, which she wrote, co-directed, and starred in, and Zula the Infinite, which was an official selection of the LA Shorts Fest and received the Award of Excellence at Indiefest Film Awards. She can be seen in the upcoming pilot Nisei, as well as the short films Plus One, Deirfiúracha, Guest of Honor, and Long Roads.
In addition to her acting credits, Stefanie is a writer, director, and filmmaker. She has written numerous short films, features, and is currently working on a pilot. Stefanie also hopes to publish a children's book series, "The Adventures of Tabby Abby", due out next year.
Stefanie's favorite genre is period pieces with strong female protagonists, which is why she would love to be on or write for Outlander, Vikings, or The Crown. Her first written feature, The Silent Queen, was completed in 2014 and is a historical fiction novel depicting an Irish queen kidnapped by Vikings and forced to make an impossible decision.
