Stefan Djordjevic, born in 1987 in Serbia, made his cinematic debut in the feature fiction film Tilva Ros, directed by Nikola Lezaic, where he played one of the leading roles. The film garnered significant attention, being nominated for the European Discovery Award by the European Film Academy in 2010.
Stefan pursued his passion for filmmaking by enrolling at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. As part of his graduation project, he created a short fiction film titled A Handful of Stones, directed by Stefan Ivancic, which received widespread recognition and premiered internationally at the ACID programme of the Cannes Film Festival.
Stefan's subsequent short fiction film, The Last Image of Father, premiered at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival and went on to receive accolades at numerous film festivals. His short documentary film, Portrait of a Dying Giant, was showcased as part of the Serbian pavilion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture.
In 2025, Stefan made his feature debut fiction film, Wind, Talk to Me, which premiered in the Tiger competition of the Rotterdam Film Festival. Additionally, he has also showcased his photography in Belgrade, with his most notable exhibition being A Diary of Mom, a collaborative project with his brother Bosko Djordjevic, which took place in 2020.
Throughout his career, Stefan has demonstrated his versatility as a filmmaker, exploring various genres and mediums, from feature fiction films to short documentaries and photography. His work has garnered international recognition, solidifying his position as a talented and accomplished artist in the film industry.
