Biography

Stanley Sheff is a multifaceted creative professional based in Los Angeles, with a career spanning multiple disciplines including film, television, live theater, and experimental storytelling. Notably, he is the only filmmaker to have collaborated with the legendary Orson Welles, sharing a co-directing credit on The Orson Welles Show in 1979, which marked Welles' final completed work.

Sheff's early career was marked by the release of his first feature film, Sinister Flesh, a black-and-white horror spoof that received critical acclaim from horror and science fiction fans. He and his writing partner Bob Greenberg went on to sell their screenplay, Revenge Of The Saucermen, to American-International Pictures, and later collaborated on Lobster Man from Mars, a science-fiction comedy that Sheff directed and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Throughout his career, Sheff has directed and edited numerous major network and cable specials, including TV - The Fabulous Fifties, Hollywood Out-Takes, Amos 'n' Andy: Anatomy of a Controversy, Chevy Chase & Friends, Motown Returns to the Apollo, and Vincent Price: The Sinister Image, among others. He has also worked on international documentaries for Antenne 2 and co-founded a video post-production company in Hollywood.

In addition to his work in film and television, Sheff has also ventured into the world of live theater, producing, directing, and performing in various productions, including The Plush Life Players, Queen Of Outer Space: The Musical, Dancing Cavalcade, Vaudeville Comes Home, The Black Pirate Musical Spectacular, and Broadway Confidential. These stage productions have played to sold-out audiences of over two thousand at the historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

Currently, Sheff resides in Los Angeles, where he continues to write, produce, and direct new cinematic projects that incorporate innovative technologies such as AI-driven visuals and virtual LED stage production.
