Stafford Perry was born and raised in the vast and beautiful province of Alberta, Canada, where he was one of six siblings who shared a love for outdoor activities and sports. Growing up, Stafford spent countless hours playing games on his parents' backyard rink, honing his skills and developing a strong sense of competition. Despite his early focus on athletics, Stafford's passion for acting never wavered, and he began to pursue a career in the performing arts in his early twenties.
Stafford's decision to attend the University of Alberta's nationally recognized theatre school was a pivotal moment in his journey, as it provided him with a solid foundation in acting and allowed him to hone his craft. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, Stafford continued his training with two seasons in the prestigious Banff/Citadel Professional Theatre Program, where he had the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and refine his skills.
Over the past decade, Stafford has had the privilege of working on stages across Canada and internationally, earning multiple nominations for his outstanding drama and comedy performances. In 2018, he won the prestigious Betty Mitchell Award for Best-Supporting Actor, a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft.
As Stafford's career in theatre continued to flourish, he began to transition into film and television, landing recurring roles on popular shows such as Black Summer, Heartland, Wynonna Earp, Damnation, and Tribal. He was also nominated for a Stinger Award for Best Long Form Performance as a lead in the feature film In Plainview. More recently, Stafford starred as Tyler in the thriller Remote Danger, which is set to be released at the end of 2021.
When he's not busy acting, Stafford is pursuing his Master's degree at the University of Calgary, where he is furthering his education and expanding his knowledge in the field of theatre. Additionally, Stafford works as a violence prevention leader in the community, using the arts to engage men and boys in violence prevention programs. His dedication to using his platform for positive change is a testament to his compassion and commitment to making a difference in the world.
