Stacie Hansen is a multifaceted Canadian artist, boasting a remarkable career as an actress, director, and writer. Her journey in the entertainment industry commenced as a child actress, making her debut as Harley in the short film Alive (2021),which she also co-wrote and directed. This early success was followed by her role as Kimora in The Celebration (2022),a project she co-directed and starred in, which won the Audience Choice Award. Her most recent role was playing Martina in A Twist of Tea (2022).
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Hansen's passion for the arts was ignited at a young age. She booked her first role at the tender age of seven and comes from a creative background, with her mother, Tanya Hansen, having worked as a permit extra in several popular shows in the '90s, including The Commish (1991). Inspired by her mother's involvement in the industry, Hansen pursued a career in acting and later expanded into filmmaking.
Hansen's first film role was as Cell Group Child #1 in The Mayflower II (2020). After taking a nearly five-year break from acting, she returned with a renewed focus on making it her career. Prior to acting, she was a competitive dancer for twelve years, winning her first competition in 2016 at the age of eight. She later earned the title Miss Dance Icon at the 2019 Thunderstruck competition in Las Vegas and performed in the Disneyland Parade and Showcase in 2020.
In 2021, Hansen filmed Alive entirely on her cellphone before submitting it to a local film festival. The following year, she collaborated with a team of adults to create The Celebration (2022),which received an Audience Choice Award. That same year, she participated in a 48-hour film challenge, where she and her team were assigned the genre Sci-Fi, the prop green crepe paper, and the directive to imitate Tim Burton's style. The project garnered local media attention, further establishing Hansen as a rising talent in the industry.
In 2023, Hansen wrote and directed Bystander, her first Action/Thriller film, which became her first project to be officially selected for a film festival. That same year, she was featured in the mini-series Red Cars and Stop Signs, directed by Tanya Hansen.
In 2024, Hansen continued expanding her portfolio, starring in The Stolen Artifact, an entry into the 48-hour film challenge, and Live, an entry into the 24-hour horror film challenge.
