Stacey Turner was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Peggy, a successful real estate broker, and Jerry Turner, who worked for the United States Department of Education, a prestigious institution responsible for shaping the country's education system.
As a child, Stacey's first foray into the world of acting was at the tender age of six, when she participated in a church play. Growing up in a small town on the outskirts of Atlanta, Stacey was as far removed from the glamour of Hollywood as one could be. It would take many years for her to rekindle her passion for acting, but it wasn't until she was working as a reporter in Savannah and performing in a play that her interest was re-ignited.
Stacey made the bold decision to leave behind a career in journalism to pursue acting full-time. Her decision paid off when she landed a small role in the critically acclaimed film The Blind Side (2009),starring the talented Sandra Bullock. While still based in Atlanta, she also secured roles on the popular television shows The Army Wives and Drop Dead Diva.
In the following years, Stacey made the bold move to Los Angeles to further her acting career. Her decision proved to be a wise one, as she went on to work with renowned directors such as Sophia Coppola, Phil Joanou, and Jonathan Liebesman on films like The Bling Ring (2013),The Veil (2015),and Battle: Los Angeles (2011).
In addition to her film work, Stacey has also had the opportunity to appear on top-rated television shows, including Bones, Scandal, Graceland, and Legends. What's more, Stacey's impressive resume now includes being an actual Emmy-nominated reporter, as well as playing one on TV.
