Skylar is a multifaceted individual, boasting a diverse range of talents that span the realms of acting, singing, writing, and poetry. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, she is proud of her Métis heritage. Her introduction to the entertainment industry came at the tender age of 16, when she was cast as the lead in the late Director Ulli Lommel's horror cult classic, "Boogeyman: Reincarnation". Lommel was so impressed with her performance that he made significant script adjustments to accommodate her unique talent, originally written for someone in their 20's.
This experience sparked a passion for acting and a desire to learn about the behind-the-scenes aspects of the industry. Skylar's next notable role was in the TV series "Super Drycleaners", streaming on Telus Optic and available on YouTube, created by Barb Briggs and Brandon Rhiness in Calgary, Alberta. She was asked to read for the co-lead with only half an hour to prepare, and her impressive audition landed her the role.
Skylar's portfolio of work in Alberta includes "Cold Comfort", a film in the process of distribution, where she co-wrote and sang a song titled "Comfort". When she relocated to Vancouver, BC to pursue acting full-time, she was signed with Lucas Talent. Since then, she has made notable appearances on popular TV shows such as "Supernatural", "The 100", "Twilight Zone", "Psych 2", and "When The Streetlights Go On".
As a classically trained Soprano singer, Skylar is currently writing her own songs for an upcoming EP. She continues to hone her craft under the guidance of Andrew Mcllroy of Mcllroy & Associates, further developing her acting, singing, and writing skills.
