SJ Evans, a renowned film industry professional, was born and raised in the quaint market town of Wrexham, situated in the heart of North Wales, UK. In 2009, Evans produced the feature-length documentary "Tattoos: A Scarred History," which garnered significant attention and included interviews with notable figures such as Scissor Sisters, Danny Dyer, John Landis, Pete Postlethwaite, Mackenzie Crook, and the late David Carradine. The documentary was released nationwide on DVD by 4Digital Media in 2010 and later on Blu Ray by MIG Film Group in Germany in 2013, following a successful screening at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

In late 2013, Evans associate produced the $3.2M feature "Extinction," starring Ben Loyd Holmes and Ernesto Cantu. The film premiered at Film 4 Frightfest in August 2014 and has already been sold to various countries, including the UK, US, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Japan, and South Korea.
In 2016, Evans produced the $2M fantasy drama "Amy and Sophia," featuring Julian Glover and Denise Van Outen, as well as the experimental drama "Hiraeth."
