Sisqo, the renowned silver-haired singer, solidified his position as a prominent performer as a founding member of the illustrious urban R&B quartet Dru Hill. The group's impressive discography boasted transatlantic hits, including the chart-topping singles "How Deep Is Your Love" and "These Are The Times," which captivated audiences in the late 1990s.
As the quartet's popularity continued to soar, they established Dru World Order, a production company, in 1999 to facilitate the creation of their solo projects. Sisqo, being the first to venture out on his own, released his debut album, Unleash The Dragon, in November of the same year.
The album's lead-off single, "Thong Song," was a provocative and risqué release that showcased Sisqo's bold approach to songwriting. The album itself was a daring exploration of sex and the male psyche, featuring a diverse range of styles, including upbeat dance tracks, mid-tempo R&B, and romantic ballads.
Notably, the production expertise of the legendary Babyface played a significant role in shaping the album's cohesive sound, which blended Sisqo's unique vocal style with a range of musical influences. The album's eclectic mix of genres and themes resulted in a truly impressive and memorable listening experience.
