Biography

Simone Reyes, a long-time secretary to renowned entertainment mogul Russell Simmons, made her mark in the entertainment industry in the late 1980s. Her early foray into the spotlight came in the form of appearances in two iconic music videos by the Beastie Boys, "No Sleep till Brooklyn" and "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party)", both released in 1987.

Following her stint in the music world, Reyes took a bold step into the world of acting, adopting the stage name "Simone" for her sole acting credit to date. In the 1989 film Cemetery High, she played one of five female killers who wreak havoc on the male population, targeting individuals deemed "scum suckers". This marked the beginning of her brief foray into the world of acting, which appears to have been a solitary experience.

After hanging up her acting hat, Reyes went on to pursue a career behind the scenes, rising through the ranks to become the director of development at Def Pictures Television in 2015. In addition to her professional endeavors, Reyes is also a passionate advocate for animal rights and veganism, using her platform to raise awareness about these important causes.
