Simon Sheridan, a multifaceted individual, commenced his career as a writer and stage actor. As his creative endeavors evolved, he began contributing to television documentaries in the late-1990s.
In 1999, Sheridan published a biography of the esteemed British actress and model, Mary Millington. This marked the beginning of a prolific writing career, as he went on to publish six further books.
In addition to his literary pursuits, Sheridan ventured into filmmaking, writing, directing, and producing his debut movie, 'Respectable - The Mary Millington Story'. The film premiered in London in April 2016 and subsequently enjoyed a three-year run on Netflix.
Sheridan's subsequent film, 'Everything - The Real Thing Story', was narrated by renowned actor Jacob Anderson, best known for his role in the hit television series 'Game of Thrones'. Released in October 2019, the movie was screened on both BBC TV and Netflix.
Most recently, Sheridan's feature-length documentary, 'Saucy! - Secrets from the British Sex Comedy' (also known as 'Keeping the British End Up!'),premiered on Channel 4 television in July 2024.
