Floyd Michael Baker, professionally known as Floyd "Silver Tip" Baker, was born in Texas in the year 1886. This exceptional individual made a name for himself as a renowned trick rider in rodeos and wild west shows, a feat that few others could accomplish. His remarkable skills enabled him to handle a team of horses and a stagecoach at full speed, earning him a reputation as a master of his craft.

As he grew older, Baker's distinctive white hair and rugged demeanor led him to become a beloved character in many western films. One of his earliest roles was as General Grenville M. Dodge in the 1924 film "In the Days of Buffalo Bill," directed by Edward Laemmle and starring Art Acord as Art Taylor and Duke R. Lee as Buffalo Bill at the Universal.

Throughout his long and storied career, Baker appeared in over 100 minor roles in talkies, many of which were B-Westerns. His impressive filmography is a testament to his enduring popularity and versatility as an actor.
