Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar, professionally known as S.T.R. or Simbu, is a multifaceted Indian artist who has made a significant impact in the Tamil film industry. Born in Thogarapalli Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, he is the eldest child of renowned director T. Rajendar and his mother Usha Rajendar. Silambarasan's younger brother is Kuralarasan, and his sister is Elakkiya.
From a very young age, Silambarasan was deeply devoted to Hinduism and had a strong affinity for Lord Shiva. He received his primary education at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School and later attended Loyola College.
Silambarasan's journey in the film industry began early, and he acted in numerous films directed by his father until 2002. It was then that he took on his first leading role in the film Kadhal Azhivathillai, which marked a significant milestone in his career.
As of 2021, Silambarasan has spent 37 years in the industry and has been a part of 45 film projects, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft.
