Shraddha Das is a talented Indian actress and model who has made a significant impact in the Telugu, Hindi, and Bengali film industries. Born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, to Sunil and Sapna Das, she was destined for a career in the performing arts.
Das's passion for acting led her to pursue a mass media degree in journalism at the SIES College of Commerce and Economics. However, her true calling was in the world of acting, and she went on to attend various theatres and workshops conducted by renowned artists like Piyush Mishra, Salim Shah, Chittaranjan Giri, and others through the National School of Drama. She also received training at the Gladrags Academy, further honing her craft.
Das began her acting career in the Indian film industry with the Telugu film Siddu from Srikakulam in 2008. She quickly gained momentum, signing four more Telugu films soon after - Arya 2, Nagavalli, Guntur Talkies, and Hippi. Arya 2, where she starred alongside Kajal Aggarwal and Allu Arjun, proved to be a breakthrough film for her career.
In addition to her work in Telugu cinema, Das has also appeared in several Bengali films, including The Royal Bengal Tiger and Badsha the Don. She made her foray into the Malayali industry in 2013 with the film Dracula 2012.
Apart from her work in regional cinema, Das has also made a mark in Bollywood. She commenced her Bollywood career with the 2010 film Lahore, where she played the role of Ida. Her other notable Bollywood films include Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, Zid, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Great Grand Masti, Lucky Kabootar, and Sanam Teri Kasam.
Das is not only a talented actress but also a trained dancer. She incorporates dance into her workout routines and has modelled for several brands, appearing in print advertisements for Aristocrat, McDowell's, and over 400 other brands.
