Shay Rudolph embarked on her acting journey by participating in local musical theatre productions in her hometown of San Diego, California. Her big break came when she landed the recurring role of "Maya" in the FOX series "Lethal Weapon". This success was followed by her portrayal of "Stacey McGill", the treasurer and fashionista of the club, in Netflix's live-action dramedy "The Baby-Sitters Club". Stacey, a recent transplant from New York City, is a key member of the group of friends who start their own babysitting company, based on the beloved Ann M. Martin book series. The show received critical acclaim, earning two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Children's Series and Outstanding Writing for a Children's Program.
In addition to her acting career, Shay co-produced and co-hosted the "Smart Girls Podcast" series with Jess Weiner for American Girl. This podcast aimed to provide modern advice to teenagers through 30-minute episodes tackling topics such as "Friendship Troubles", "Embarrassing Moments", and navigating "Drama, Rumors, and Secrets".
Shay's upcoming project includes co-starring in the film "The Present" alongside Greg Kinnear and Isla Fisher, playing the role of "Emma". When she's not acting, Shay pursues her passions by writing screenplays and playing the piano.
