Shawn McAllister, a multifaceted individual with a passion for the performing arts, has been treading the boards since the tender age of five. As a stalwart member of both the Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity Association, he has accumulated an impressive repertoire of over 25 feature films, television programs, and 75 stage productions.
Prior to his foray into film and television, McAllister honed his skills in theatre production, serving as a stage manager and/or production manager in South Florida, Pennsylvania, and New York. His tenure with the esteemed Zev Bufman organization stands out as a notable milestone in his career.
As an officer with two independent film companies, Earth Productions and Macaw Films, McAllister has worn multiple hats, producing a diverse range of features and television pilots, including the children's film "Looking for Trouble" (1996) for the legendary Roger Corman. In addition to his work behind the camera, he has also ventured into writing, both as a freelance writer and ghostwriter, and spent four years as a journalist.
McAllister's literary endeavors have yielded several books, including his autobiography, "Surrender the Jealous Mistress," published in 1998, and his biography "Hibel: The Life & Art of Edna Hibel," released in 2006, which chronicles the life and art of the world-renowned artist.
In his personal life, McAllister is blessed with a loving family, comprising two sisters, Sharon and Nancy, two daughters, Dawn and Stacy, three step-daughters, Rose, Terry, and Linda, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
