Shannon Michael Wamser, a multifaceted artist, is currently a faculty member at the Molloy College/CAP 21 BFA program in New York City. He made a significant move from Los Angeles, where he spent 3.5 years immersed in the film industry. Prior to his time in Los Angeles, Wamser resided in New York City for 14 years, working as a freelance actor and multidisciplinary theatre and film artist. Born in New Mexico, Wamser was raised in Pennsylvania and has been involved in the performing arts since the age of eight.
As a classically trained actor, Wamser possesses a range of skills, including proficiency in physical comedy and actor combat. Additionally, he is a talented writer for both stage and screen, and has experience as a stage director. Wamser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting/directing from DeSales University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Professional Actor Training Program at Ohio University/Cincinnati Playhouse on the Park.
Furthermore, Wamser is the co-founder of *Some Assembly Required, a production company based in Los Angeles. His professional affiliations include stints with Stages on the Sound in New York City, taxdeductible theatre, and NimprovYC: Improv in NYC.
