Shane's life began on the southern coast of England, where his family's ancestry is also rooted in Scotland and America. He embarked on a journey to hone his craft at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, where he was awarded the esteemed Cameron Mackintosh Scholarship.
Throughout his illustrious career, Shane has accumulated an impressive array of screen credits. One of his most notable roles was that of Cpl. Eugene "Doc" Roe in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Band Of Brothers, directed by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. He also appeared alongside Dougray Scott, Vanessa Redgrave, and Joely Richardson in The Day Of The Triffids, and as Craig Hanson in Strike Back: Vengeance, alongside Philip Winchester, Sullivan Stapleton, and Charles Dance.
Shane has had the privilege of working on several notable projects for television. He played Andy Stafford alongside Gabriel Byrne and Michael Gambon in the BBC series Quirke, and Captain Thomas Preston in the History Channel's Sons Of Liberty, which starred Ben Barnes, Henry Thomas, Rafe Spall, and Dean Norris.
In addition to his television credits, Shane has also appeared in a number of films. His work in the award-winning independent film Bomber, as well as Devil's Playground, Walking With The Enemy alongside Ben Kingsley, and Hunter Killer with Gerard Butler, Linda Cardellini, and Gary Oldman, has further solidified his reputation as a talented and versatile actor.
