Biography of Dean
Dean is a talented actor, producer, writer, director, humanitarian, and musician, known for his intense performances in various films and television shows. Born in Mount Vernon, New York, Dean is a native of a city that has produced many elite names in sports and entertainment, including Denzel Washington, Heavy D, JB Smoove, Al B. Sure, P. Diddy, Ben Gordon, and Gus Williams.
Dean's early life was marked by his passion for basketball. He was a former high school basketball star, earning Nike and Street & Smith's All American honors. He led his team to a perfect 29-0 record, capturing the New York State & Federation titles, and a TOP 20 USA TODAY ranking. Dean was named MVP, Westchester County's "Mr. Basketball", and an All New York first team selection.
After graduating from high school, Dean attended the University of South Alabama on a full scholarship, where he earned a degree in Business Management. He then pursued his passion for acting, studying under renowned instructors such as Rus Blackwell of 'Circle in the Square' and Tina Sattin at the 'Open Cage Theater' in New York.
Dean's acting career has been marked by several notable performances. He played a homeless Iraq war veteran with PTSD in the drama 'Any Wednesday', which was an official selection at the Mill Valley Film Festival and Movie Of The Week on SHORTSTV. He has also appeared in television shows such as Fear the Walking Dead, the Supernatural, Arrow, and Amazon's Emmy-winning 'The Man In The High Castle'.
In addition to his acting work, Dean is also a producer, writer, and director. His latest film effort, The Saints of Mt. Christopher, which he directed, produced, and co-starred in with Tom Sizemore and Clifton Powell, became one of the top independent movies of its kind. He has also gained recognition for his portrayal of a fierce hustler and pimp, Lance, in the underground classic Sugar Valentine.
Dean is a humanitarian and serves as the Water Ambassador to Ghana. He is also a lifetime member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. In his spare time, he donates his time to coaching kids in the Steve Nash development basketball league and the Vancouver Sports Club AAU team.
Dean is the Co-Founder and Chairman of film and music production company, Bases Loaded Entertainment Group. He is now a rising star in development on a few film and television projects, and is expected to continue making a name for himself in the entertainment industry.
