Person Biography:
Jimmy Lee Gill, professionally known as Seth Bailey, has been a performing clown almost his entire life. His grandfather, Seth Walter Bailey, a renowned circus clown, would dress Jimmy up as a clown and take him on gigs in the early 1950s.
Jimmy began his professional career at 16, working as a clown at the Memphis Zoological Garden's daily one-ring circus. He used his grandfather's make-up kit and costume, and later became a member of the Al Chymia Shriners' Clown Unit in Memphis, Tennessee.
In the late 1980s, Jimmy joined the Woodland Hills Shriners' Clown Club in Los Angeles, California, where he developed his own make-up kit and costumes. He created two new clown entities, Hobo 01 and Auguste 04, and continued to work for charitable causes.
In the early 1990s, Jimmy co-founded and became a charter member of the Al Malaikah Shriners' Clown Unit in Los Angeles, California. He developed three new clown entities and continued to work for charitable causes, including weekly visits to the Shriners' Hospital for Children.
In the mid-1990s, Jimmy began teaching clowning skills to non-profit groups, creating an unknown number of clown entities for others of all ages. He also worked on the feature film "Carnival of Souls" in 1998, playing the role of Hobo 01.
Jimmy became a member of AFTRA and SAG in 1998 and has worked under the jurisdiction of both unions since then. He has continued to develop new clown entities and has worked on various projects, including the feature television film "Men in White" in 1998.
Jimmy has also volunteered his services to various charitable organizations, including the "Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles" and the "Starlight Children's Foundation". He continues to work gigs for charitable causes, AFTRA and SAG, and offers his services for corporate events.
